What the assessment tells you
Most businesses know AI could help them. What they don't know is where, how much it would cost, or whether it's worth it. The VRTL assessment answers those questions for your business specifically, not businesses in general.

Hartley Electrical, a 14-person commercial electrical contractor. Day to day, a business like yours runs on: quoting (reading tender drawings and pricing materials from several wholesalers), certification (keeping every electrician's qualifications and test equipment calibration in date), and job paperwork (timesheets, delivery notes and test certificates coming back from site). My quick read: quoting is probably where the most skilled time goes on copying rather than estimating. Where I'd start: get supplier prices requested and compared automatically, so estimators only make the judgement calls.
How it works

AI readiness assessment or AI audit?
They're the same idea. An AI audit from a consultancy typically involves interviews, workshops and a written report, and is priced accordingly. That's worth doing for a large or complex operation. For most small and medium-sized businesses, the first question is simpler: is there an obvious, worthwhile place to start? The free assessment answers that in a minute, and if your situation needs a deeper review, we'll say so.
What we won't do
We won't recommend AI where a simpler fix would do, and we won't tell you you're "ready for AI" to sell you something. Some of the best recommendations are plain automation: a form instead of an email chain, two systems connected so nobody re-types an order. If we don't have something that fits, the appraisal is still yours.

The initial assessment is free. Every VRTL product is a monthly subscription with no setup fee, and your personalised page shows the exact monthly price for your configuration, including VAT, before you commit. You can switch optional modules on and off and watch the price change. Anything that genuinely needs bespoke scoping is flagged clearly rather than added later.

How long does the check take?
About a minute. What we can see on your website appears straight away, and the full appraisal follows while you watch.
What do you look at on my website?
Only public pages: your homepage title and description, what you say you do, and your main services pages. We don't log in anywhere, fill in forms or look at anything that isn't already public.
Do I have to buy anything?
No. The appraisal is yours to keep whether or not you go further. If we don't think a VRTL product is the right answer for you, we'll say so.
How is this different from an AI consultant's audit?
A consultant's audit usually starts with workshops and ends with a report and a proposal, weeks later. The VRTL check gives you a first read in a minute, from what's already public, and links it to a ready-built system with a fixed price. It's a fast starting point rather than a replacement for a deep review of a complex operation; if your situation needs that, we'll tell you.
How accurate is it?
It's an informed first read, not a guarantee. It's built from what your website says, so it can miss things that only happen behind the scenes. That's why it ends with a question or two, and why we confirm everything with you before any work is priced or started.
Is my business too small for AI?
Rarely. If someone in your business spends hours a week on the same admin task, it's worth checking. Small teams often feel the benefit fastest, because one person's time freed up is a big share of the whole.
